The climb up was well worth the effort and we were rewarded with spectacular views of the old town, the river and surrounding countryside. The streets of the old town were very ambient and we ended up exploring the Jewish Quarter and visiting one of the few remaining synagogues in Spain - Santa Maria la Blanca (which is considered by some to be the oldest synagogue in Europe).
