Pearl Harbor Memorial and the USS Arizona. On 7th December 1941 the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, was attacked by Japanese forces, drawing the USA deeper into WW2. The bombing killed 2300 people and President Franklin Roosevelt called December 7, 1941, "a date which will live in infamy."
